The Traders-Only Charity Event That's Helping Save Lives

This year, Benzinga is proud to sponsor the Traders4ACause 6th Annual Charity Conference and Golf Tournament (T4AC19) in Las Vegas, October 11-13.

Jim Condron Jr. Exhibition at Wings

Karen Condron, a Wings Spirit Award Honoree, was a lot of things, but for sure she was an artist.  That tradition was passed down to her son Jim, who honored MDA's Wings Over Wall Street with a special art installation at its 19th Annual Gala on May 22.  You can read about it here.

Wings Moves to May -- ALS Awareness Month

The 19th Annual Wings Over Wall Street Gala to unlock the cure for ALS will take place during ALS Awareness Month on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the IAC Building – 555 West 18th Street, New York City (at 11th Avenue).  Join to to celebrate those who are fighting to to find treatments and a cure for ALS.


Actor James Naughton Joins Wings

Tony Award winning actor and director, James Naughton, will read an excerpt from Ruth Fitzmaurice's book, "I Found My Tribe," at the 18th Annual Wings Over Wall Street Gala on October 17th.  James won Tony's for Chicago (lead role) and City of Angels and has appeared on many TV shows, movies and voice-overs. The Wings Gala raises much-needed funds for research to unlock the cure for ALS.  For more information visit

Beier Award Winners Meet in London at ALS Amsterdam Swim

Anjan Aralihalli (AJ) -  this year’s Wings Beier Award Honoree, and Jim Jansen – last year’s Wings Beier Award Honoree, bumped in to each other in London at the Amsterdam Swim, which raises funds for ALS research.  Wings across the ocean.  Please join us on October 17th in NY to meet AJ.


Special Guests to Attend Wings 2018

Wings is pleased to announce that Sharlee Jeter, CEO of the Turn 2 Foundation (founded by her brother, Derek Jeter), and co-author of “The Stuff,” which correlates the elements of hope, determination, and teamwork to unlock cures will join us as a special guest at the 18th Annual Wings Gala on October 17, 2018.

Additionally, Ruth Fitzmaurice, author of “I Found My Tribe,” will read excerpts from her book, as well her husband, Simon’s memoir “It’s Not Yet Dark” (Colin Farrell narrated the 2016 documentary based on the book). Ruth will also share how she and her five children navigated their lives when Simon, a renowned writer and film director was diagnosed with ALS and how she sought solace and community support after his death a year ago.

Wings is also recognizing Chef Stephan Bogardus and Owner Claudia Fleming of the renowned North Fork Table & Inn. When Claudia’s husband, Gerry Hayden, a pioneer in the farm-to-table movement, was diagnosed with ALS, Stephan became his mentor’s hands at the restaurant. Gerry worked tirelessly to raise funds to find a cure for ALS after he was diagnosed with the disease. Stephan and Claudia continue to celebrate Gerry’s legacy and keep his spirit alive, raising funds for a cure.

WABC anchor, Bill Ritter, is hosting the Gala.  


2018 Honorees at Wings 18th Annual Gala

Wings is honoring several special people at its 18th Annual Gala on October 17, 2018.  The Spirit Award is being given to Claudia Fleming and Stephan Bogardus.  Claudia is the pastry chef at North Fork Table & Inn and the wife of the late Gerry Hayden, the co-owner and executive chef at North Fork Table.  Gerry died from ALS and both Claudia and Stephan have carried on his message of hope.  In this video, Gerry tells his story.

The Diamond Award, named in honor of co-founder of Wings Toni Diamond, will be presented to Dr. Matthew B. Harms from Columbia University.  Dr. Harms directs an international multi-site effort using whole genome and transcriptome sequencing to bring precision medicine to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. His laboratory efforts occur in both the Motor Neuron Center and the Institute for Genomic Medicine at Columbia.

The Beier Award, named in honor of the late Michael Beier who was a major force behind Wings Over Wall Street, will be presented to Anjan Aralihalli, Venture Partner at CTI Life Sciences.  AJ has worked tirelessly with the biotech and pharma industries to work on cures for ALS.
